Shiok

There are numerous Singaporean restaurants popping around Manila. Shiok is located in Bonifacio Stop Over, right beside 7-eleven. You'll see it before the Shell station.

We liked the color of the menu. Pictures are always good, since I'm a visual person.

Hainan Chicken - P245

Along with the chicken, this meal comes with soup, a cup of rice, and ginger, chili and sweet sauce. The chicken was moist, and we liked the sauce (even if it looks oily).

Char Kway Teow - P120

This is good for two to three people. My friend said it wasn't as dry as the other char kway teow he has tasted.

Smashed Chicken - P140

We thought the chicken would be "smashed" or cut in pieces like the one in the menu. The chicken was normal, just like any other fried chicken. What we liked was the fried spinach with it.

Sambal Kang Kung - P65

We asked to separate the sambal sauce, which was a good idea because I didn't like too much of the sauce. It had a generous serving for 65 pesos.

Milo Dinosaur & Choco Horlicks - P55

For us, the Choco Horlicks tastes the same as the Milo Dinosaur. It's the same price, so try both of them.

Here's our overall rating for Shiok:
Ambiance - 3
Taste - 3.5
Value for Money - 3.5
